What is being launched?
With Enhanced Contact Search, Convex has improved Atlas users’ ability to find relevant contacts to reach out to. Whether a user is searching for contacts from the Property Detail Panel or from Signals, we now have an improved user interface that helps the users find a relevant contact at that company even if that contact is not at that exact property.
How does this product support the Commercial Services Platform for Revenue Acceleration?
With the previous Contact Search experience, users may not find a contact they are looking for at a specific property and may discontinue their search. This is unfortunate because the user may conclude that Atlas does not have enough contacts even though the ideal contact is across the street, in the same county, or in a neighboring city. Atlas can do a better job at preventing users from hitting this dead end and help the user “upscope” their search.
For example: even if the facility manager is not directly associated with that specific property, an appropriate facility manager may be in the region (city, county, state, or across the country). Enhanced Contact Search provides a better experience for these lookup use-cases by giving the user an option to more easily upscope their search to a nation-wide search (which they can scope back down to a state of their choosing).
Who has access to this improvement in Atlas?
Every Atlas user has access to Enhanced Contact Search.

What is different between Enhanced Contact Search vs. the previous Contact Search?
There are several areas that have been updated / improved in Enhanced Contact Search:
Users are now shown the number of Contacts at a given property before a user clicks in. This properly sets the users’ expectation before having them click into Contact Search. If there are no contacts at that property, the user no longer needs to wait until they click into Contact Search to find out.
(1) When launched from the PDP, Company Search, or Signals, the Enhanced Contact Search is now a full-screen experience. Users will have to click on the top left area to go back to the PDP.
(2) By default, the Enhanced Contact Search shows all of the contacts associated with all of the company occupants of the property.
Users then have the option to select a specific company occupant of the property. This will scope the contacts that are shown to the user based on the company they have selected. If the user does not find a contact they are looking for, they can then select the “National” tab to upscope their contact search to view contacts at that company nation-wide. From here, the user can scope back down by filtering based on the State.
When a user performs Enhanced Contact Search from a company site (from Signals, Company Search, the Occupants menu in the PDP), we do not currently show all of the company occupants for the property that the company site is located at. As a result, there is no list of occupants that the user will see on the left side. Though the user can upscope their search to the National level and also what’s Saved at Property.
What is on the near term roadmap for Enhanced Contact Search?
- Currently the only company occupants we show in Enhanced Contact Search are sites that have at least 1 contact. We plan to show company sites that don’t have occupants even after our work in Q1 FY24.
- Ability to more easily scope the Enhanced Contact Search to one or several States.
- Ability for the user to reorder the table columns and have that to be “sticky” so that it does not return to our default state every time the user hits Enhanced Contact Search.
What other limitations should I know about for Enhanced Contact Search?
- When filtering for the Company name and/or Job Title, the search only works after the user has entered in complete words. We do not yet have type-ahead search for this functionality.
- In a small number of instances where there are more than 3 addresses for a specific property, when a user filters for a contact name they may not find a contact that fits their filter criteria even though that contact is at the property. This is because currently we are only able to search across 3 addresses for a given property.
- Enhanced Contact Search is currently only on Atlas Web and not on Atlas Mobile.
