FAQs | Target Lists

What is being launched?

Convex has built new workflows into Atlas for select customers. This new workflow enables customers to automatically add contacts to sites showing intent Signals and to export those contacts via CSV into their marketing platform or CRM.

How does this product support the Commercial Services Platform for Revenue Acceleration?

Targets allow users to organize, qualify, and campaign against company locations that have been highlighted in a Signals bundle. With the build feature, users develop target lists from sites with Signals. With the enrich feature, users can add contacts to those sites who meet specific criteria. With the export feature, users can convert target lists into a CSV file and track exports against their monthly limit.

Who has access to this improvement in Atlas?

This functionality is separately enabled as part of the Signals package.  Both Signals and Exporting from Targets are associated with additional cost.  Please ask your customer success representative for more details.

Users can enrich a Target List by selecting all or someTargets and clicking on the Enrich button.

What does it mean to Enrich a Target List?

This action will search and attempt to populate the Targets with contacts associated with the company where the Signal was identified.  Contacts are chosen based on the criteria the user defines.  Depending on the user’s preferences for how many Contacts to enrich per Target, the action will associate the Contacts that best match the criteria specified in the filters and with the highest accuracy score to an individual Target.

What options does a user have for Enriching contacts?

The user can select the following:

  • Job Title or Contact Info
    • Job Title = text that describes the contacts job title
    • Contact Info = the type of contact information (email address, business phone number, mobile phone number, etc)
  • Inclusion/Exclusion
    • Whether the information is included or excluded from the results.
  • Values
    • Drop-down selections that are pre-populated
    • User can type their own values
  • Add Row - the user can add more rows with more conditions.
  • Contact within (also known as upscoping) - allows the user to select the range of where contacts can be found
    • Site/Property - only at the company site address
    • State - anywhere within the company in the state
    • National - anywhere within the company in the country
  • Number of contacts per target - either 1, 3, or 5
  • Exclude closed Targets - if the Target has a closed status, the user can choose not to enrich it

What are the limits for enriching Target Lists?

Users can enrich a Target List as many times as they would like since there is no limit on the number of Contacts that can be associated with a Target.  Contacts will need to match the set criteria as well.  Also note:

  • A Target list that is already being enriched must finish the enrichment process before another enrichment is requested.
  • Target lists cannot be enriched if that list is currently being exported.

How long does it take to enrich a Target List?

This will depend on a number of factors, including the number of targets and the criteria selected.  This process usually takes just a few seconds, but users will be notified when the enrichment has completed.

Export Target Lists

How does a user get data out of a Target list?

Users have the option to export selected Targets from a list or the entire Target List.  After clicking the “Export” action, the user is presented with a modal that details what they will be exporting and how that will impact their export plan.

Users will receive an email with a link that allows them to download the .csv file.

What data is being exported?

All target data is exported, including data relative to the associated contacts, properties, and company sites.  This includes Signals data.
