FAQs | Atlas Mobile v2.4 Updates (February, 2024)

What is being launched?

Convex has enhanced Atlas Mobile with Route Planning functionality and a user interface optimized for the iPad

How does this product support the Commercial Services Platform for Revenue Acceleration?

[Route Planning] Convex customers have long asked for help in planning their sales routes to most efficiently visit their prospects and customers. This functionality enables our mobile users to optimize their customer visits based on geographical proximity, traffic conditions, and their own preferences. This is our first mobile-specific feature for Atlas and we are excited about the productivity boost this feature will deliver for field sellers.

[iPad UI] Atlas Mobile for iPad finally takes advantage of the full device screen size. Users using Atlas on iPad will now be able to see more data and utilize more of the map in high resolution. Whether in the office or out in the field, Atlas iPad UI is the perfect combination of touch responsiveness and screen size to maximize sales efficiency.

Who has access to this improvement in Atlas?

Every Atlas user has access to Route Planning and the iPad UI

More Details

Do I need to download a separate Atlas app for Route Planning and the iPad UI?

Both Route Planning and the iPad UI features are just an automated App Store update to the current Atlas Mobile application that you have on your iPhone and iPad. There is nothing that a user has to turn on or redownload. Shortly after version 2.4 is available in the App Store, all Atlas Mobile users will see these two new features.

When will Atlas Mobile v2.4 be available for download in the Apple App Store?

Atlas Mobile is typically available in the App Store a few days after the seasonal release is announced. This is due to Apple App Store approval policies and when they are able to review and approve our app release. We don’t expect this to be more than a week after the Winter Release is announced.

What is on the near term roadmap for Atlas Mobile?

  1. Enhanced Contact Search that is now available in Atlas Web as of the Winter ‘24 release will be coming to Atlas Mobile
  2. Signals will be coming to Atlas Mobile next
  3. Company Search is likely to be coming third to Atlas Mobile
  4. Target Lists will come to Atlas Mobile in subsequent months

What are known limitations I should know about Route Planning?

  1. There can only be a maximum of 10 properties that can be mapped by Route Planning at any time.
  2. Currently, the route that is created by the Route Planning feature is only available on the mobile app. The routes cannot be seen or managed within Atlas Web application.
  3. The routes that are created through Route Planning are only visible for the Atlas user who created the route. It cannot be managed, tracked, or dispatched by a manager or a dispatcher.
  4. Calendar integration (the ability to see appointments and waypoints on the route on your calendar of choice) is not available.
  5. There is no check-in functionality for Route Planning.

What are known limitations I should know about the iPad UI?

The iPad UI functionality has the same feature set as the iPhone UI. There is more that we will be doing to further take advantage of the screen size of the iPad.
