What is being launched?
On November 15th, 2023, customers who have Accounts and Opportunities enabled in their Org will have access to improvements to the Atlas iOS App in the App Store. Specifically, we have now enabled users to do the following from the mobile app:
- Create accounts and opportunities
- Add contacts to accounts and opportunities
- Add activity notes to account and opportunities
- Update the status of your sales pipeline
How does this product support the Commercial Services Platform for Revenue Acceleration?
With these added capabilities to the mobile application, users are able to manage their accounts and opportunities anytime and anywhere. They no longer have to do so from Atlas at their desk. Overall, Atlas customers will see more up to date information on accounts and opportunities, leading to less communication errors and better overall data quality.
Who has access to this feature in Atlas?
Any user who has access to Accounts and Opportunities and the iOS mobile application has access to this feature.
Where can this feature be used in Atlas?
Users will see the following buttons within account and opportunity records within the iOS mobile application. Tapping on these new buttons will prompt the user for more information to complete the creation of accounts, opportunities, activity notes, and adding contacts to records.
How is this feature connected to the rest of Atlas functionality?
With this new enhancement, the Atlas mobile application is now closer to par with the Atlas web application. Our goal from here is whenever Atlas web is updated with new functionality for Accounts and Opportunities, users will see the same within the Atlas mobile application at the same time or shortly after.
Are the updates made in the Atlas iOS app the same as updates made in the Atlas web application?
Yes! Any account and opportunities that are created and edited in the iOS application will be reflected in the web application (and visa versa). Though the changes will not be reflected immediately on the platform. For example, if the user updates an opportunity on the mobile app, they may have to refresh their browser app to see the changes reflected if the same opportunity was already open in the browser app.
What is coming next for the Atlas iOS App?
We are working on delivering the following new features in the coming releases:
- Route Planning (Beta for Fall ‘23 Release)
- iPad version of Atlas app
- Additional updates to Accounts and Opportunities to be at par with web application: File attachments and support for Custom Fields
