Map View for Company Search

What is being launched?

On November 15th, 2023, customers who have licensed Atlas Company Search will see a new Map View in the user interface. The original launch of Company Search only provided a table interface to allow users to search for companies by desirable attributes such as industry, revenue, etc. and displayed the result in the table. With the release of Map View, now Company Search users can do the same search but with the power of a map. The addition of Map View increases the effectiveness by Company Search by:

  1. Giving users more control over where they are searching for Company Sites. Users are able to manually pan and zoom the map to focus in on a particular geolocation.
  2. Displaying search results in a map to make it easier for a user to understand where the resulting search results are in relation to their target search area. Users can then use the map to refine the search area and filters more.
  3. Easy switching between Map View and Table View: users will be able to quickly switch back and forth between these two views to see how changes in one view will affect the other. For example, a user may want to use the map to be more precise about the Company Sites to target, but would prefer to switch to the table view to compare, sort, and work through the list of Company Sites.
  4. Overlaying Signals information on top of the Map. User are able to understand where Company Sites are located that are currently exhibiting a stronger Signal Strength.

How does this product support the Commercial Services Platform for Revenue Acceleration?

With the addition of Map View, the Company Search feature enhances how users find Company Sites, scope their searches, and understand how target Sites are positioned geographically. Overall, Company Search accelerates the ability of sales reps to qualify leads, identify the Sites of their target account, and formulate a plan to prospect against those Company Sites.

Who has access to this feature in Atlas?

Company Search (which includes this Map View) is available for purchase. Please contact your customer support or sales representative with questions.

Where can this feature be used in Atlas?

Users will be able to find this feature with this button at the top right of the Company Search page

How is the feature used?

When a user selects the Map View in Company search, they are presented with a Map they can use to pan and zoom as they normally would within a Map View of Atlas. Additionally, they have access to these additional Map Controls to control the Map Type, Zoom, and Search within the viewport of map area that’s shown within the user interface.

Additionally, a user is able to sort the cards that are shown which corresponds to the Company Sites in the Map View that match the current search and filter criteria:

Lastly, the Search & Filter capability that is currently available for Company Search also works within the new Map View. We have added additional filter criteria and capabilities within this search interface to  advantage of the Map View functionality.

How is Map View for Company Search connected to the rest of Atlas functionality?

With the new Map View for Company Search, we have now moved one step to replicating the Map functionality for Property Search that current Atlas users know and love when searching for Company Sites. The main connection is that this Map View provides an alternative view to the existing Table view.

Are there additional functionalities coming to Map View?

Yes. Our long term goal is to bring in Property Search and Contact Search into the same map interface. Pending user feedback, we believe this is the long term evolution of Convex’s prospecting interface. We believe that the ability to switch back and forth between Map and Table views, combined with completing workflows to Targets and Target Lists, will provide the best experience for users looking to prospect for Companies, Properties, and People in a unified user interface.
